2018 Chevrolet Cruze is two car models from General Motors. The first Chevrolet Cruze was a compact SUV manufactured in Japan by Suzuki in 2001-2008. Second-generation Cruze was a brand new car developed by GM itself. The car has nothing in addition to its name in common with its predecessor. The car was first launched as a four-door sedan which, depending on the market, replaces Chevrolet Cobalt and Daewoo / Chevrolet Lacetti. The sedan model has been followed by semi-combi and combi models.

The first Chevrolet Cruze was originally presented as a concept car named Chevrolet YGM1 at the car show in Tokyo in 1999 and was based on Suzuki Ignis. The production-ready car had evolved from the Japanese car and was named, by GM’s Australian division Holden. The car was manufactured by Suzuki in Japan and was sold in Japan as Chevrolet Cruze, but in Australia, it was sold as Holden Cruze. From 2003, it also replaced the former Suzuki Ignis in Europe and sold under the same name as the predecessor.

The second-generation Chevrolet Cruze entered the market in China in mid-2015 and in the United States at the end of the same year. The models sold in different markets are slightly different in appearance. The five-door hatchback will be launched in 2017.

2018 Chevrolet Cruze Design

2018 Chevrolet Cruze presented in the United States a major redesign in terms of its front, passing a brand new type of grill wider than the original model. The same would continue respecting the style premiered by Chevrolet of a divided grill, although now the dividing strip would become narrower, while the divided areas would occupy a relatively greater space to which the first generation presented in its beginnings. This reformulation of the first generation would finally be imitated by the factories of Brazil and South Korea, who would be in tune with the central house.

Also, it presented a renewed design in its front bumper, in which included daylight in horizontal strips of LED technology.

2018 Chevrolet Cruze Engine

In the United States, the only engine for the moment is a 1.4-liter (153 hp) jet sprayer with a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox. The diesel engine will be available in 2017. In China, in addition to the 1.4-liter, there is also a 1.5-liter (113 hp) transmission with six-speed automatic transmission. There are no traditional automatic gearboxes available in China for 2018 Chevrolet Cruze 1.4-liter, but there is a seven-stage dual-gear transmission.
