The 2018 Lamborghini Huracan is a sports car built by the Italian company Lamborghini, replacing the legendary Gallardo, one of the most successful cars in the history of the company. As is the tradition in the Lamborghini brand, the name Huracán came from the legendary bull of life pardoned in the Plaza Real Maestranza of Seville. Lamborghini launched in August 2014 a version destined to the competition of the Hurricane. The Huracan Super Trofeo has more 9cv than the standard version, rear-wheel drive, and a set of special aerodynamic appendages. This car was specially manufactured with the help of Dallara for the monochrome trophy organized by Lamborghini, the Lamborghini Blancpain Series with tests on three continents (Asia, Europe, and North America)
Lamborghini applied for a patent on the name Huracán on 19 April 2012. Like other models of Lamborghini, the name comes from bullfighting. Huracán is a Spanish bull breed. In June 2013 it became known that the Lamborghini Gallardo would be followed and in August of 2013, the first prototypes were photographed.
The 2018 Lamborghini Huracán has a chassis made of aluminum and carbon fiber. The wheels attached to this have Pirelli tires and are connected to a magnetorheological suspension. They have hydraulic brakes with for six calipers and four rear. The chassis can be adjusted in three modes: Strada, sport, and Corso. Strada is the most suitable for daily use, in sports control is sharper and the ESP partly goes out, while in Corsa the ESP goes out completely.
2018 Lamborghini Huracan Engine
The LP 610-4 was presented first, again with an atmospheric 5.2-liter V10 engine. The block now delivers 610 hp and a torque of 560 Nm, the same as in the new Audi R8. The V10 is electrically injected with direct injection and the cylinders are rotated at an angle of 90 °. In combination with the four-wheel drive and automatic transmission, the couple goes to 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds (3.4 for the Spyder) and 9.9 to 200 (10.2 for the Spyder). To make the Huracán more economical, it is equipped with a start-stop system. The stated consumption is 12.5 l per 100 km and the CO 2 emission is 290 g / km. The empty weight is 1422 kg for the coupé and 1542 kg for the Spyder, top speed is 325 km / h.
At the end of 2015, a rear-wheel-drive version of the Huracán was also presented, the LP 580-2. The five starting points for the rear-wheel-drive were: handling, balance in driving behavior, directness of the steering, feedback in the steering wheel and oversteer. As was the case with his predecessor, the two-wheel-drive Huracán is less powerful, now the block delivers 580 hp and 540 Nm. With 1389 kg (Spyder: 1509) he is lighter than his more powerful brother, but nonetheless, the sprint lasts longer, 3.4 seconds for the coupé and 3.6 for the convertible. The top speed is now 320 km / h.
2018 Lamborghini Huracan Coupe
Huracan coupe was already presented on the internet in December 2013, but he was shown for the first time in real life at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The car has a typical Lamborghini appearance; with angular, aggressive styling. At the back, there is no longer a reclining ‘deck’ with a small upright window, but one large sloping window or large slats such as those on the Aventador. The Huracán also has special LED lighting. At the back, there are four large, slightly upwardly extending exhausts. The engine is a revised version of the 5.2 liter V10 that was also found in the Gallardo. The car is standard on 20-inch wheels. The brakes are available in five different colors.
Inside 2018 Huracan, the interior, there are five different upholstery packages available, including Nappa leather and Alcantara. The steering wheel is covered with suede leather. There is a 12.3-inch screen in the middle with which navigation can be operated, the trunk is in the front.
2018 Lamborghini Huracan Spyder
In September 2015, the open variant of the Huracan was presented at the IAA Frankfurt. Lamborghini Huracan 2018 has a fabric roof that opens and closes in 17 seconds and is technically identical to the coupe, due to the extra reinforcements and roof construction, it is 120 kg heavier than the 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Coupe.
