The Alfa Romeo MiTo (type 955) is a three-door luxury compact car on 19 June 2008 at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan, Italy in 2008 officially presented with an international introduction at British Motor Show The car was in all Alfa’s most important markets in stages from July. The three-door hatchback is sold with front-wheel drive and will to compete with the MINI and the newer Audi A1. Designed by Centro Stile Alfa Romeo is believed the design that inspired by the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. The Alfa Romeo MiTo is used on Fiat platform to Small Fiat Grande Punto, also of the Opel / Vauxhall Corsa D.

Alfa Romeo MiTo Features

The Alfa Romeo MiTo has a new “Alfa DNA” system that can select the driver to drive between three different settings: Dynamic, the Normal and All Weather. This system controls the behavior of the engine, brakes, steering, suspension and transmission. The MiTo also LED tail lights and 250-liters (8.8 cu ft) luggage compartment. The Alfa Romeo MiTo also a Q2 electronic differential on the front wheels, which is active with the DNA switch in the dynamic position, and allows a faster and tighter turns without the loss of grip.

Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA Concept

The Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA (Gran Turismo ALLEGGERITA), sportiest version of the MiTo was unveiled in 2009 Geneva Motor Show on March prototype. The concept has a 1.8-liter turbocharged engine with direct fuel injection and variable valve timing for both intake and exhaust. The maximum power is 240 hp, rated (237 hp 177 kW). The MiTo GTA Concept has a top speed of 250 kph (155 mph) and accelerates from zero to 100 kilometers per hour (62 mph) in 5 seconds. The weight of the GTA was reduced by the use of carbon fiber for the tailgate spoiler and the roof plate and mirror panels. Aluminum is also used to reduce the weight. The suspension is lowered by 20 millimeters (0.8 inches) over the standard car, and the car has active suspension.

Alfa Romeo MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde

The Quadrifoglio Verde version of Alfa Romeo MiTo was unveiled in 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Quadrifoglio Verde (English: green shamrock) is traditionally the highest line of Alfa Romeo models. Alfa Romeo MiTo Engines
