The Ford Edge is a mid-size crossover SUV manufactured by Ford on the Ford CD3 platform with the Mazda CX-9 common ground. Along with a rebadged version of the Lincoln MKX, the Edge, is produced complex in Oakville, Ontario, Canada in Ford’s Oakville Assembly. The first generation Ford Edge, its debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2006, with production to begin in October 2006 as a 2007 model. The SE includes cloth seats, single-zone manual air conditioning, AM/FM stereo with single-disc CD/MP3 player and 17-inch painted aluminum wheels.”

The SEL includes unique cloth seats, driver seat with 6-way power adjustable, premium AM/FM stereo with 6-disc CD/MP3 player on the board, leather-wrapped steering wheel with secondary audio controls, and 18 ” wheels painted aluminum., The Limited include leather-trimmed seats and optional 6-way adjustable fold-flat front passenger seat, the seatback release Easyfold the second row, dual-zone electronic temperature control, SYNC in-car connectivity system, and 18 “premium chrome wheels. The Limited trim level replaced the SEL Plus in 2008.

The Sport trim level debuted at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show, with sales beginning in model year 2009. The level of equipment includes leather upholstery with gray inserts imitation suede reclining 60/40 folding seats with a folding center armrest, and the second row seat release (marketed as EasyFold), premium AM/FM stereo with 6-disc in-dash CD/MP3 player, SYNC in-car connectivity system with larger diameter chrome exhaust tips, chrome alloy wheels 20 “quality first, all 22-inch wheels and optional finishing color body.

The facelifted Ford Edge was on 12 February 2010 presented at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show. Exterior changes include a new front fascia, wheels and a modified bumper, while the interior materials has been renewed and capacitive touch controls rather than any of the conventional buttons and switches that are also seen in the second generation Lincoln MKX upgraded. Three engines are available for the second generation : a 2.0L EcoBoost I4 3.5L Duratec Ti-VCT making 285 horsepower (213 kW) and 253 pounds · ft (343 N · m) of torque and Sport model, Ford will offer the same 3.7L Duratec engine in the Lincoln MKX 2011 with 305 hp (227 kW) and 280 pounds · ft (380 N · m) of torque available. The turbocharger in the new 2.0L engine for 150,000 miles or 10 years designed.

The SE includes cloth seats, single-zone air conditioning Manual, MyFord Touch with 4.2 ” color LCD cluster and center console with steering wheel controls 5-way, and painted aluminum wheels of 17 inches. Both the SEL controls includes everything in the SE, more unique cloth seats, driver seat with 6-way adjustment, dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control (DEATC), leather-wrapped steering wheel with cruise control, pills of 5 positions and secondary audio controls, 18-inch wheels painted aluminum, reverse sensing system and additional parking light.

The Limited includes everything in the SEL Plus leather seats, 10-way heated driver, Sony audio system with HD radio with 12 speakers in 10 locations, MyFord Touch with (2) driver configurable 4.2 ” LCD color in the group, and 8″ color LCD in center console, Ford Sync with Media Hub 2 USB ports, SD card reader and video input jacks, aluminum wheels, 18-inch shown chrome aluminum wheels chrome optional 20-inch, rear-view camera and 6-way power-folding front passenger seat to the ground.

Limited options include HID headlights, BLIS system and adaptive cruise control. The Motorsport includes 3.7L Mustang Twin independent Variable Cam Timing V6-, 6-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift paddle activation Charcoal Black leather-trimmed seats with unique inserts smoke silver metallic, 22-inch wheels of polished aluminum with Tuxedo Black spoke accents, face and body color lower rear bumper, chrome oval dual tailpipes 4 inches, and the color side lower cladding and rocker panel.
