The Skoda Octavia has been produced since 1996 a C-segment car from Czech car manufacturer Skoda Auto. His name is revived produced an earlier Skoda model between 1959 and 1971. The current Octavia is available in five-door hatchback or property. There were three generations of the Octavia model to date. A high performance version, the RS or VRS also available. The first generation Octavia was released in November 1996 and was built in the modernized Skoda factory in Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic.

The first generation Octavia had a facelift in 2000 and is still manufactured and marketed in some markets, even after the introduction of the second generation in 2004. In Germany and other parts of Western Europe and in Asia, the first generation model was marketed as the Octavia Tour, while the newer model is marketed as the Octavia. In some markets, the first generation Octavia is still known as Octavia, and the new model is called the new Octavia, Octavia5 (Greece) and Laura (India) known. The main improvements are model independent rear suspension and improved interior in terms of space, design and quality of materials facelift.

The Octavia facelift including a 4×4 version for both most popular real estate and hatchback models, and used the Haldex Traction clutch like other Volkswagen Group companies based car platform. It had higher ground clearance and larger tank 63 liters (17 gal, 14 imp gal) in comparison to the standard front-wheel drive versions of 55 liters. The 4×4 option was only with the 1.8 T 150 HP (112 kW 152 HP) petrol engine, the 1.9 TDI 90 HP (67 kW, 91 HP) diesel engine or gasoline engine 2.0 L, all attached to an available 5 – speed manual and the 1.9 TDI diesel engine HP PD100 is 6 speed manual transmission with a transmission.

The other model 6 -speed manual is the 1.9 TDI PD 131 PS, with only front wheel drive. RSV was the charged top-level specification and faster and with a straight- 4 1.8 liter engine that produces 180 HP. Skoda has a limited number of 100 WRC Replica Cars worldwide in 2002. The new model is 9 inches long and 4.5 inches wider than the second generation and the longer wheelbase by 8.9 inches. It is also up to 102 kilograms lighter than the previous model. The new security features in high-end versions include a Forward Collision Warning, detection system, the driver, driver knee airbag, side airbags and active fatigue rear hood. Other assistance systems that will be available are auxiliary lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, parking sensors or traffic sign recognition. Power 86-179 HP gasoline or petrol -powered cars and diesel engines offered PS for 90-150. A Green Line version, produced only 89 grams of CO2 per kilometer will also be offered. All-wheel drive transmission is available as an option at a later date for the RS Combi version.
